اندھیرا چیخ کر بولا نگل جاؤں گا تم سب کو
وہیں جگنو یہ بولا چیر دوں گا ظلمتِ شب کو

مصیبت سر پہ آتی ہے تو اللہ یاد آتا ہے
کوئی کب یاد کرتا ہے بھلے حالات میں رب کو

نہیں ہیں نیّتیں اچھی وزیروں اور امیروں کی
لگے رہتے ہیں چمکانے میں اپنے رعب کو، چھب کو

رعیّت اور حاکم ایک ہی میزان پر ہوں گے
کوئی پوچھے گا روزِ حشر کب دنیا کے منصب کو

نشانی ہے تغیّر کی، تدبّر کی، تعقّل کی
جو دن کو ڈھانکتی ہے شب، لپکتی صبح ہے شب کو

نزولِ رحمتِ باری کا منبع گنبدِ خضرا
مدینے میں بدل ڈالا میرے آقا نے یثرب کو

ہیں سب تشنہ دعا، تشنہ بہ لب، تشنہ رضا یا رب
بچا یا رب وبا سے، ہر بلا سے آج ہم سب کو

Ghazal
Darkness cried out loud I would devour you all
Firefly then told it would rip darkness of night after all

When faced with hard times one does recall God
In normal times where does anyone think of God

Of ministers and leaders, good n clear are not their intentions
Just they keep engaged in making shine their power n positions

Ruler and the ruled would be weighed on the equal scales
On the day of judgement no one would ask for mundane details

Of change, of mind and intellect it’s the sign so to say
As night engulfs the day, the morning moves to take it away

The green dome is the source of blessings of the God
The ancient ‘Yasrab’ has been changed into ‘Madina’ by my Lord

O God! Every one hankers after benediction and longs for your pleasure
O God! Save us from pestilence and protect us all from every danger.
